John,
I am executive director of Byodo Foundation focused on opening up non-profit remittance channels. If I remember correctly I first got your name from Jenifer Isern CGAP and contacted you about a year ago? Can you give me your honest assessment of the remittance project you were involved in with G-Cash in the Phillipines? What have you learned and is the program continuing to operate successfully? Is there anything you would consider changing?

For local money transfers, the cash-in and cash-out functions continue to work well. Regarding international remittances, we find the new Advice & Pay service of GXI to be more appropriate and now more commonly used for international remittances. Clients prefer having the sender pay the fee instead of being charged for the regular cash-out fee.
